Toy Drive 2021
Our Toy Drive community service event was hosted this semester by our amazing Membership Director Natalie & Marketing Director Kimberly! Despite the pandemic, we were able to collect over 90 toys for disadvantaged children in Tijuana, Mexico. Our team works hard to organize community service events that allow us to give back to communities in need of help. A few events that were held virtually was our Feeding the Less Fortunate event that focused on raising funds to create care packages for the unsheltered in Los Angeles and aid those in the Texas Crisis. This academic year (2020-2021) we successfully raised about $1,500.
Fundraising
We usually had two on campus fundraising events that consisted of food stands as well as two off campus fundraising events. In the past year all of our fundraising events were held virtually and consisted of raffles as pictured above or fun games like our Truth or Dare Easter Eggs. The profit from our fundraisers goes to feeding the less fortunate and to our end of the year scholarship which you can learn more about under the "Resources" tab.
Networking
The annual Corporate Mixer is one of many amazing opportunities to connect with professionals from different pathways of life. During this event you are able to participate in very insightful conversations as well as ask questions, tips, and advice. Occasionally, our panel of professionals will offer internship or scholarship opportunities. Our next Corporate Mixer will be hosted in the Spring Semester 2022 keep an eye out on our social media so you don't miss it!
General Meetings
Our General Meetings are held every Thursday from 3:15 p.m until 4:15 p.m and is currently being hosted virtually through Zoom. You can find our zoom link on our home page under the "Virtual" section. Here you will find all of the Board Directors ready to welcome you into a friendly and educational environment full of captivating guest speakers and inspirational presentations. Come join us!
Social Events
HBS has plenty of resourceful events that will help us navigate the business world however we also have social and amusing events! The events consist of game nights in which you may see our competitive side come out! Nevertheless, it is always a great time with our familia. This previous semester we had a small social gathering with CSUDH & CSUN, Friendsgiving. It was filled with laughs and plenty of unforgettable memories. Join us for our next social event you won't regret it!
End Of The Year Banquet
Every year towards the end of our Spring Semester we host a Banquet in which we spotlight all of our hard working Board Directors, our member of the year, and everyone who received our end of the year scholarship. We also take this opportunity to showcase the events that took place that year from our community service, general meetings, to our social events.
