ABOUT US
The Hispanic Business Society began in the College of Business and Economics in 1962. Our goals have consisted of providing opportunities for academic excellence, personal support, and improving the general well-being of all students at Cal State LA. We provide an atmosphere where students can come together to share common goals while providing practical knowledge on both networking and social skills. These skills will have a substantial impact on their careers and lives.
​ HBS is known as one of the most active student organizations in the College of Business and Economics. Over the past few years, HBS has attained a diversified membership by expanding our scope to students of all majors and ethnic backgrounds. The organization utilizes its own resources and encourages the use of resources from the College of Business and Economics. It promotes the development of professional business attitudes and skills, advertises employment opportunities, business seminars, and internship programs for meaningful experiences to help launch one's business career. Members of the Hispanic Business Society actively pursue these basic goals and other objectives as may be duly established by the organization in the future. HBS is affiliated with the United Latino Students Association (ULSA) and Prospanica.

"I’m a senior majoring in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing and a minor in Economics. I love traveling, experiencing new things, and making awesome memories! I am the HBS President and I couldn’t be more excited and honored to be in this role. This year I want to focus on bringing in highly esteemed professionals, mentorships, more scholarships, and creating larger a familia. I want to continue to uphold HBS’s good reputation and make this year beneficial and memorable for everyone involved."
